My Lazy Kids!!

I absouletly CHERISH our mornings when the kids come in my bed to snuggle and watch cartoons! And, of course, we can't leave out Kisses! We are just trying to cherish these few precious years before hectic morning school schedules get in our way!

Thanksgiving in Boise

I am finally getting around to posting our Thanksgiving trip pictures! We spent Thanksgiving with Russ' sister, Heather, in Boise, Idaho. The kids did SO well on the drive up and back! I was SO proud of them! We had a great time in Boise, as always, and ate some yummy food! :) Here are pictures:

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy New Year! We had a GREAT New Years Eve at home! It was just me, Russ, Allison, and Samuel, and we had a blast! We put together some puzzles, played Old Maid, Hungry Hippos, Candyland, listened to fun music, and watched some movies.

The kids were getting SO tired about 10pm, so I said "Hey! It's almost midnight!" because I didn't want them to miss it, but I didn't want them to have to stay awake for another two hours. SO.....we did the countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, ......3, 2, 1, Happy New Year! and then let them bang pots and pans on the porch. Our neighbors probably thought we were crazy doing it at 10pm, but oh well! We had some sparkling cider, then turned on movies in their room so they could fall asleep. It was great! They're happy this morning from not staying up too late, and we're ready for a New Year!

Funny thing happened: About 2AM I woke up because I heard voices in the kitchen. They weren't normal voices though. It almost sounded like a TV. I KNEW I wasn't dreaming, so I woke Russ up. He went into the kitchen and took Kisses with him. Kisses didn't bark at anything, and there wasn't any footprints in the snow outside. SO.....we went back to bed. Then, about 15 minutes later, I heard it again!!! I listened closer, and it was Steve from Blues Clues saying "We just got a letter!" I woke Russ up and started LAUGHING! It was my cell phone.....I had received a text message on my cell phone, and that's the sound I have set for when I have a text message. I got up, saw it was a Happy New Year text from my brother Chad, cleared it, then went back to bed. I have it set to go off every 15 minutes until answered, and that's why it kept going off. HAHAHAHAHA!

We had a GREAT Christmas!

We had such a GREAT Christmas! It was definitely a white Christmas at our house! The snow just kept falling, and falling, and falling! Now THAT'S what Christmas should be!

My favorite Christmas picture

I came across this picture today. This is my most favorite Christmas picture. I think my mom has a porcelain figurine that's like this picture. It just says so much about what Christmas and Santa are all about! It reminds me of the book "I Believe In Santa Claus" by Diane G. Adamson.

Our Silly Elf

Every Christmas time, we have a silly little elf that comes to visit. We usually start out putting him on the shelf, but every night he runs to the North Pole to tell Santa if we've been good or bad that day. Every morning when we wake up, he's hiding in a different place to spy on us, and we have to find him. We've found him in some pretty silly places: on top of the ceiling fan, on the bathroom stool, in the hallway, on the kids' pillows, etc. The kids love waking up and trying to find out where the elf is hiding!

My Baby Girl is Home!

Allison got home from California last night. We went and met her at the airport with a welcome home sign and some roses. We are SO glad she's home! We missed her so much! Grandma and Grandpa are SO nice to take her to Disneyland and Sea World!
