Elissa's Wedding

Allison got to be the flower girl in my cousin, Elissa's, wedding. She did SUCH a great job throwing the flowers down the aisle, and she was so brave and wanted to walk out all by herself! She was so cute! Elissa gave her a really cute Cinderella Wedding Barbie and a cute little Butterfly Bag for being her flower girl.Here are some pictures.

The Kool Bus (AKA Krazy Bus!)

Yesterday my dad was at Sam's Club, and called and told me to bring the kids down, as there was a Monster Truck Bus giving rides. Oh, man, if we ONLY knew what we were in for! My dad said "It will be good for the kids! Samuel will LOVE IT!" Well, as the driver kept telling us, and we had to "learn the hard way", "This ain't no kiddie ride!"

We get there, and I noticed the guy had a small area blocked off in the Sears parking lot for driving the thing. I just thought he was going to drive around the little circle, maybe 5 miles an hour max, and that's that. Boy, was I wrong!

The guy starts telling us he has insurance and everything for the riders, and I'm thinking "Why would he need that much insurance? Oh, maybe in case somebody fell down the stairs when they were coming off the bus."

The kids were SO excited because the thing was HUGE! We climb up the stairs, and the guy tells us that the best ride is in the very back. So we get in the back seat. The driver buckled us all in really tight, THEN told me to put my arms across the girls to hold on to them, and my dad to put his arm in front of Samuel to hold on to him. He told us to hold the kids tight, AND for us to hold on to the railing. I was thinking "Ok, why is this guy being so cautious?! This is silly!" I wasn't even going to put my seatbelt on.....I didn't see the need for such a small area he was taking us around in. He was acting like we were going to be driving up big mountains or something!

Tthe guy yells out "HOLD ON TO THE RAILINGS!" Next thing I know, I hear the loud rumble of the engine, and the bus starts bouncing as it backs up. What happened after that, I'll never know because I had to close my eyes! It was the most WILD RIDE I've EVER been on in MY LIFE! Rides at Lagoon don't even come close to what we went through on that bus! The guy was spinning in circles, flipping donuts, all kinds of things! My dad was thinking "Who is this wacko?! He's going to flip us over!"

The driver does this for charities. He was raising money for the March of Dimes yesterday. He will come to any event and raise money for the charity of your choice. He doesn’t even charge the person hiring him ANYTHING for him to come and give rides. It would be a great, fun, and UNFORGETTABLE fundraiser!

He was saying he's moving over to the parking lot by Kmart on 5400 So and Bangerter in the next few days. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking your family for a ride! It was the ride of a lifetime, and I'll never forget it!

Cowgirls!

Allison and Kenzie had a great time riding horses at Grandma and Grandpa's house yesterday! Grandpa even let them do it by themselves. Of course he walked by them, but they got to "steer" the horse and give commands and everything all by themselves!

"Santa Came?!"

We went to my cousin, Elissa's, wedding shower on Monday. When it came time to open her presents, Samuel's eyes got really big and he said "Santa came?!" It was so funny I am still laughing about it!

"Penguins" by Allison

Here is Allison's masterpiece titled "Penguins." I have no doubt this will one day sit in a museum next to Van Gogh's "Sunflowers."

What can I say?! I love my kids' artwork!

When we were camping, my dad got a little bow and arrow for Samuel to shoot. My mom got a paper plate for the target, and drew a picture of a squirrel on it. Samuel said "Samuel draw!" and took the pen from her. He drew something on the squirrel, showed it to us and said "Look at his teeth! It's the big bad wolf!" He added some sharp teeth, and changed the squirrel into the big bad wolf! He shot it with his bow and arrow, and was so excited when he hit the plate!

Camping!

We had a GREAT time camping this weekend with my family! We went to Current Creek Campground. These are the pictures I took with my camera phone. My parents took a ton, and I'll post those when I get copies, but for now, here's these ones. Geddy stayed with us for a few days, and it was so good to visit with him! The first one is the kids waiting in the parking lot of Russ' work. They couldn't wait, they were so excited! Geddy and Russ are now pros at setting up and taking down our new tent. Samuel had a great time playing with the firewood Uncle Zach brought up: he didn't want to burn it, he wanted to build it! Samuel also had a blast peeing on the trees, and didn't pee in his pullup even once while camping! He never missed an opportunity to pee on a tree. Allison and Kenzie had fun searching for flowers, and they too had fun peeing on the trees! We took the "over the mountain scenic route" on the way home, and even saw some snow! Geddy wished he would have brought his snowboard, haha! It was a little creepy seeing "Ted Bundy 1969" carved in a tree in our exact camping spot! My brother noticed it, and pointed it out to us. It was also a little scary seeing "Bear Spotted in Campground" signs from a week before posted by the bathrooms. We kept all our food out of our tents, so we were safe. It was really cool hearing coyotes howling at the moon during the night!

Coke in "Thai"

Yesterday Russ and I were drinking a Coke that had "Coke" written in Thai on the can. Russ was telling the kids that Aunt Stephanie brought him back a T-Shirt that was Coke written in Thai a few years ago when she went to Thailand. He went and got the T-Shirt, showed them the shirt and the Coke can, and said "See kids! That's Coke in Thai!" Samuel laughed, ran over to me, and said "Daddy said Coke in Tie! I have tie! See!" and pointed to the cute little necktie that he had worn to church that day. We laughed and laughed. Samuel found it so amusing that there was Coke in daddy's tie! :)

Chick Fil A Cow Appreciation Day

Today Chick Fil A had their "Cow Appreciation Day". If you came in to any Chick Fil A dressed like the Chick Fil A Cow, then you got a free combo meal. Allison and Kenzie didn't really have any cow costumes, but Samuel did, so we dressed him up. The kids got to see the big cow, have lunch, jump in the Bounce House, and throw bean bags. They loved it!

WIPEOUT!

Russ put the kids' Little Tikes slide over the little pool they have, and put the hose on top of the Little Tikes so that water was streaming down the slide. Boy, did it make it slippery! The kids were flying down that thing so fast all they could think was "Dad's the coolest!"
